Last weekend, I hiked to a mountain creek to fish for native brook trout. These little guys are wild and beautiful. I used light gear, stayed quiet and let the bait drift naturally...does anyone else fish in these small, cold creeks?

That sounds awesome, do you usually hike deep into the backcountry for those creeks or are there a few favorite spots you can reach without too much of a trek?

Fishing in creeks is my happy place! I like using light gear and small spinners, have you ever tried sneaking up behind rocks to cast better? Those brook trout get scared super fast

You nailed it! What kind of light gear did you take with you and how many brook trout did you catch?

There's nothing like trying to snag those little guys. I use a small foam hopper thing on a super light fly rod
