I have been trying to get better at telling buck sign from doe sign up in the mountains. I’ve heard bucks leave heavier tracks and rub higher, while does stay lower near food and water, so for those who’ve hunted hill country longer, what are your best tips for spotting the difference?

From what I've seen, bucks leave proportionally bigger front tracks due to their heavier shoulders and antlers. Look for single, large beds in thick cover up high, big fresh rubs also mean a buck's around.
