My grandpa's old tackle box sits in my garage. Half the lures don't even work anymore and I've got better gear but I'll never get rid of it. Some gifts aren't about function. What outdoor gift do you have that's more about memories than actual use?

I keep my dad’s old flannel jacket by the door, I do not even wear it out, seeing it makes me feel like he is still with me.

My Mom knitted me a muffler (aka scarf) one winter when I was a freshman in college. Still wear it - and yes we had cars with electric starters then.

My dad’s old spotting scope is scratched and outdated, but it reminds me of every early morning we spent glassing hills together.
