What are you actually looking for at gun shows?

What do you guys actually buy at gun shows? Ammo? Parts? Full firearms? Or is it more about just seeing what's available?

I usually go looking for reasonably priced .357Sig ammo for my Glock 33.

I also look for cool switchblades to add to my collection.

The one on the far left is my edc Boker automatic.

This stubby little fellow and big purple guy caught my eye at 2 different gun shows and came home with me.

I guess the shows are entertainment to me. Sometimes an old knife will catch my eye. I enjoy looking at Winchester rifles, older S&W & Ruger sixguns.

I have been to gun shows in Fairmont, Clarksburg, and Morgantown and those guys can't beat the price of firearms at two nearby dealers. So I purchase nothing at gun shows. For ammo look around at some of the sporting goods stores. Two or three around me have very good sales on the popular calibers. Secondly, be careful of the ammo sold at gun shows - lots of Billy & Bubba reloads. Dick's Sporting of course turned anti-Second Amendment but some of us remember the days around deer season Dick's had buy one box get the second at half off. Online prices are good until you see the shipping rate - $25 for two boxes ... really? Don't know if we can, but maybe we need a thread on our favorite dealer(s)? (Alan, thoughts?)

I try to take one in when I can. I'm not in WV but there's a few in southern NE that I've attended over the past 40 years.

I'm not a firearms buyer anymore, looking for parts, add ons and fair deals on that plus ammo and components. I usually end up with some decent deals. I've also kept an eye open for things friends are looking for. At the most recent I got a box of factory Win 351 SL ammo for a friend.

At some events there are clubs and associations that have displays and those plus what you see in general can be very enlightening. I've learned a lot from the opportunity to go to shows for the various interests I have.

I go looking for ideas. Something will usually catch my eye and make me think. I’ll try to help support the shops. Buy a box of primers or some powder as long as it’s reasonably priced. Two days ago stopped at a shop I found over Buckhannon didn’t see anything I needed but bought a couple small items to show support.

I used to do the same Staghunter but with prices as they are and limited fun money I've not purchased much like I used to. It s a great gesture tho.
