I started reloading to get my .308 shooting tighter, but the savings kept me at it. what got you folks into reloading?

It started when I got into shooting in general. Mostly handgun but later rifle also.

Cost was a big incentive, started shooting IHMSA silhouette with 44 mag and was able to do well with cast reloads for that. Did that a few years+ then on to NRA bullseye. Loaded 1000's of 45 acp target loads there, used nothing but lead purchased and cast for that also.

No one in IHMSA used factory ammo that I saw, only military teams with no budget used factory ammo.

Definitely performance lol. With the money I have invested in equipment, powders, brass, bullets on the shelves. If someone says just for cost I would have to ask. So you don’t try to get better precision. You don’t read articles and watch vids to get better at your craft. I’m OCD so I am always looking for the prefect 1 hole group. I can be happy with a group if I think I did my best.
