Keeping traditions alive even when it's hard

My grandma used to make this specific stuffing recipe every Christmas. She passed three years ago and now my mom makes it, but honestly it's not quite the same. But we still keep doing it because it feels wrong not to. What traditions do you keep going even though they're bittersweet or difficult now?
