Pro tip: Keep your glock happy

Hey guys, don't overthink handgun maintenance. Just break it down, wipe everything with a microfiber cloth, brush the barrel with some Hoppes #9. You can also light coat of gun oil on moving parts but don't go crazy or you'll attract every piece of lint in town. Last week I cleaned my XD in the kitchen and caught hell for three days straight. Anyone else's wife complain about that solvent smell?

Tell me about it! My wife says Hoppes #9 smells like a combination of regret and betrayal. I swear she can sniff out that solvent from two rooms over. It's a real fight for gun rights in my house

Hoppes Elite is good stuff, it is way less stink than the old #9. Lucky you don't get grief about it, my kitchen cleaning days are definitely over

Haha, regret and betrayal that's perfect! My wife has that same superpower, she'll smell it from upstairs and start the lecture before I even finish, the struggle is real man!!!
