I thought it would be helpful to start a thread about our favorite local gun shops. What makes a gun shop trustworthy to you? I’m always on the lookout for a place that’s not just about the sales, but also has knowledgeable staff who treat you right.

Have you had any standout experiences – whether great or horrendous? I know I’ve been pleasantly surprised at some spots and completely disappointed at others. If you have a shop in your area that you’d recommend or warn others about, let’s hear it!

Valley Outdoors in Hurricane, WV. One of the biggest all-guns sales floors I've seen anywhere in the surrounding states.
Bridgeport Equipment in all their WV locations. Knowledgeable sales staff, and deep stock, new, used, and consignment. Central warehouse in Ohio has some amazing deals online regularly.

Dodd's In Ellenboro,WV

Gun Runner in Fairmont. They have a huge selection in stock at the best prices in NCWV. Been a customer for many years. Very honest and they will try to beat a competitors price on firearms. They also have an online web site - receiving an ordering takes less than 5 days normally.
For Morgantown, I'd have to say Sportsman's Warehouse gets the nod. They have great sales on ammo with free shipping if you buy $75+.
