new management took over and suddenly everything's a safety violation. We can't draw from a holster, can't do rapid fire, can't shoot anything they deem 'too loud,' and the RSO stands behind you critiquing every shot. I get safety, but when the rules make it impossible to actually train, it's time to find a new spot

I sometimes drive out near Nitro, folks there still treat shooters right, thankfully.

You are lucky. There's a range just out of the city limits in Clarksburg. The owner has a small gun shop and you have to purchase ammo from him and he charges by the hour. No pistol shooting and no big calibers like 7mm Mag or 45/70. There's an in door range just outside of Fairmont in a gun shop. Non-customers (meaning you've never purchased a firearm there before) pay more and there's a caliber limit on rifles and pistols. Also, no "fast" shooting.
