Low power scopes are underrated

I’m running a 1-6x now, and it’s perfect for all-around use. Close shots and medium range both work great, why don’t more people go with lower magnification?

I went back to a 1-4 after trying higher power scopes for years. Most of my shots are within 300 yards anyway
