Planning a trip to visit family and trying to figure out the best route. I'd like to bring my firearm with me, but going through New York State makes that tricky. It feels like I need a map and a set of rules just for this part of the journey. Avoiding NY adds a ridiculous amount of drive time, which isn't ideal for a family visit. I've heard there are a few strategies to skirt around it, but I'm curious if anyone else has dealt with this and what you decided to do. Any tips would really help.
