Some guns run better dirty

My AR runs smoother with some carbon in it. Cleaning it spotless actually makes it less reliable for the first few shots. Is this normal??

Some guns hate being squeaky clean. They prefer a little “seasoning” first.

The M&P15 I had preferred being at least 10-15 rounds dirty before it tightened up. Then it was good for a hundred or so before it really acted like it needed cleaned again.

My AR feels better after shooting a few magazines through it. When it's super clean, it can feel tight for the first few rounds. A little carbon mixed with the right oil seems to make it run better.
