What’s the Best (and Worst) Range Outfit?

I've been thinking about what to wear when heading to the range lately. I mean, I get that it's not a fashion show, but it's interesting to see what people choose. I've noticed some folks wearing camo and it feels a bit out of place for just shooting drills and plinking. Like, what's up with that? Seems more fitting for hunting than just running a few rounds.

I've been sticking to the basics myself—jeans, a plain shirt, and sturdy boots. Just something that feels comfortable and safe, you know? I avoid anything that might say 'tacticool' or turn too many heads. Just want to blend in a bit.

Is this a common thought? Or am I overthinking it? What do you all generally wear? Any styles I should steer clear of? Just curious if I'm missing something important here.

Sometimes I think I should be wearing waders because of some of the advice given out. I don't try to correct it unless I think its dangerous.
Waterproof shoes for early mornings, blue jeans, light shirt and a jacket.

May be overthinking it yes. Nobody cares what we wear. They care about what they wear. We care about what we wear. I don't give it a thought. I just wear what the weather requires, and I hope there is nobody there to bother me wanting to shoot the breeze. Nothing better than going to the range and nobody is there but yourself. Plus, I despise deer hunting stories that start with how the waters parted and it takes 20 minutes to finally say he killed a buck. LOL

More focused on the footwear. If it's crazy hot I may wear sneakers that are kind of vented due to mesh and shorts. Recently the trap shooters had a big shin dig and parked the overflow vehicles on our rifle range the day after a gully washer of a storm and of course rutted the snot out of it. I wear boots just to protect my ankles from getting twisted in the ruts hidden in the grass.

As far as camo clothes? Not hardly, I don't wear that stuff except hunting. Kind of a habit since military days, I wouldn't wear that stuff off duty. No worries I am still a fashionless hog. Currently drinking coffee wearing an old white V neck t shirt that is left over from my uniform wearing days. I hated v necks compared to crew necks but I am frugal and will wear these around the house doing yard work. May as well wear this, if I walk by the tractor I will have grease leaping off it and smearing my sleeve. Tractor grease is much like venom from spitting cobras.

Long pants & shirt, short or long depending on season. I never wear gloves unless it is very cold. I normally wear hiker boots. As for fashion?? No one on my personal range but me & normally I visit the club when very few or any are there. Old Slater knows about the club.

snubbyfan, that's an interesting setup at the range. The tubes keep gas blowby away from other shooters?

At least you have your rifle, and those eject well off to the right. Hot brass from a pistol would definitely cause the long sleeves to come out...
My RXM and both of my TX22's throw their brass straight back over my head.
