What wear patterns on my knife taught me about how I use it

After carrying the same knife for a long time, I started noticing where it was wearing the most. The belly sees the most use, while other parts of the blade barely get touched. Those wear patterns tell a story about how you actually use your knife not how you think you use it. That information makes it easier to choose the right blade next time.

That's an interesting post - I never considered 'wear pattern' on a blade. Can you explain how to identify wear on a blade and what the different locations tell you about how you're using it?

Those wear patterns on a blade don't lie. Your knife will tell you exactly what you've been cutting, not just what you thought you were cutting. It actually makes choosing your next knife a lot simpler when your old one has basically snitched on all your habits.
